Keeping it local

Our products are rated according to the percentage of ingredients produced in England – “home grown”. All our wax comes from hives in Dorset – places like the Piddle valley, King’s Stag, Sturminster Newton, Evershot, Melplash and, of course, the home apiary at Muckleford. We rely heavily on the help of Dorset bees as every product contains at least 20% beeswax.

We use English oils in some products - sunflower oil from Somerset, rapeseed oil from Dorset and Somerset, plus raw linseed oil from West Sussex – bought direct from the farmers who grow and press them.

You can identify these “Home Grown” products as they have a drone bee like this next to them, showing they have at least 50% ingredients from English farmers and beekeepers.

We use only high quality essential oils for their aromatherapy properties, to fragrance and preserve our products. We never use artificial perfumes or parabens.
